CiAO Mid-Month Meeting for November

Monday the 15th at 6:00 pm

Note that the meeting will start at the 'normal' (early) time of 6:00 pm.

Our Team film, The Chosen, came in at #14 out of 51 films. Not too bad. We did not make the top-thirteen 'short list' at the UK 2 Days Later Short Film Competition. So, "We missed it by that much."

They have posted 4 or 5 of the winning films at the 2 Days Later website. For some reason, they are scattered on the page in no discernible fashion, so you have to search for "2010" on the page to find them. www.2dayslater.co.uk

The "Cast and Crew (and Friend & Family) Premiere" of The Chosen on Saturday, October 30 was minimally successful. A little over a dozen people attended. The film was well-received. We want to clean up a few of the glaring issues of the film (mostly sound, and a couple of credits mistakes) before we provide DVD's for everyone involved. We will let you know when those are available.

The "Online Premiere" of The Chosen was also successful during Halloween weekend from Friday the 29th at 6:00 pm until Sunday the 31st at 12:00 midnight. About 26 people visited the new WatchTheChosen.com website to view the film. We decided to leave the film up for viewing and about half that many people have viewed it since then.

The Consortium is a varied group of people interested in independent film and other related areas. Including all areas of indie film production, film in general, other productions of various kinds, multimedia, watching and appreciation. There tends to be an emphasis on indie films and filmmaking, particularly nano-budget, micro-budget, and small-budget filmmaking. All are welcome to join us, whether you are a writer, director, producer, actor, crew person, cinephile, or any other interested party. (suggested age range: mature teen through adult)
