CiAO Mid-Month Meeting for January

Monday the 17th at 6:00 pm — Alternate Meeting Location

Note that the meeting will start at the 'normal' (early) time of 6:00 pm.
The Meeting location will be Round Table Pizza on Forest Ave.

Notice: Independent Filmmaking Master(less) Class

MovieMaker magazine has a special annual edition titled Complete Guide To Making Movies 2011. It has some very good, informative articles spanning the breadth of the filmmaking experience, from pre-production to production to post-production. There are still some copies available at the local Barnes & Noble bookstore. It can be ordered at the website – click on the cover image link – Price $8.95.

Is anyone interested in starting a guided, self-study "book club"-like class that would use this material as the "course" source material? This might include reading one or two articles and then getting together, perhaps on a weekly basis, for an hour or so, and discussing the information. The goal would be to make ourselves better filmmakers. This would be particularly helpful to beginners, but there is little doubt that everyone involved would learn quite a bit. We are also open to other ideas, including show and tell, watching films, ours and others, demonstrations, presentations, speakers, etc.

If you are interested in this attending and being involved in this class, please send an e-mail to: and/or come to the mid-month meeting to discuss.

NOTE: The meeting location is Round Table Pizza
2027 Forest Avenue #20, Chico, CA 95928
Phone: 342-7265
In the Best Buy shopping center, across the road behind the back side of Target.
