Pelican House Productions will be filming in this area. (Gridley & Chico) This notice is too late for the notification below, but, for your edification, we wanted to share this information. We have contacted them and hope to learn more. When we do, we will let you know. If you learn something, please let us know so we can share with others. (NOTE: If you think you would work for their actor requirements listed below, you are encouraged to contact them in case they still need people) Pelican House Productions is an independent film production company based out of Los Angeles, that specializes in writing and producing narrative films. PHP originates from a house on Pelican Avenue where the four members lived during their attendance at the prestigious Brooks Institute, and began shooting their first series of short films. The founding members of PHP are Tom Morris, Elliot Feld, Kevin Liang, and Gridley native Jaz Kalkat. PHP focuses on making quality work, merging real life experience with an original brand of humor. This summer we will be shooting the comedy GENERAL EDUCATION in Gridley and Chico. The film tells the story of high school tennis champion Levi Collins, who — on the same day he is offered a scholarship to a prestigious university — finds out that he's failed high school and must attend summer school! We are looking for local talent between the ages of 16 – 22 to play the students in the class with Levi. These roles are called FEATURED EXTRAS, and though they have no lines, will be seen regularly on the screen in the film. There's also the chance that an actor might receive a line during filming! Here are the details:
• YOU must be available between the dates of June 20 - July 11.
WEDNESDAY JUNE 8, 2011
