The premieres will be this Saturday, June 15, and the next Saturday, June 22 at The Pageant Theatre in Chico, CA (351 East Sixth St. at the corner of Flume St.). More information below. Please try to make the film showings and support The Arts, Independent Filmmaking, and indie filmmakers in the Chico area.

The "Dream Raiders: Mission Zero" premiere is this Saturday, June 15, at 3:00 pm at The Pageant Theater (351 East Sixth St. at the corner of Flume St.).

The latest from Writer/Director Joshua Siegel and Arcadian Entertainment, "Dream Raiders" is a science fiction web series. "Mission Zero" is the pilot episode. It stars Jennifer McAfee and Robert Parham. The storyline revolves around the new leader of a secret team who enters the dreams of her former mentor to bring him back to the real world.

The main film will be screening with several other short films from director Joshua Siegel. Tickets are $5 at the door. There will be door prizes and you can meet the cast and crew.

The "Perception" premiere is Saturday, June 22, at 3:00 pm at The Pageant Theater (351 East Sixth St. at the corner of Flume St.).

The latest from Writer/Director Shawn Dyer and Ulexite Films, "Perception" is a drama starring Russell Johnson and Jennifer McAfee, with cinematography by Paul Hildebrandt and an original music score by Jay Pothier.

The main film will be screening with two other films written and directed by Shawn Dyer, "Fray", a psychological thriller released in 2010, and a "Fly" Directors Cut, a drama released in 2011, re-cut and ready for a new viewing experience. Tickets are $5 at the door. Show not appropriate for Children. Adult language and themes. There will be a second showing on Sunday, June 23 at 6:00 pm for all who cannot make the premiere.

Congratulations to Heidi Moore of Wretched Productions for successfully funding her next film, "Dolly Deadly", through a kickstarter crowd source funding campaign. The short film is about a young boy from a trailer park who has had enough of bullies. With support from his beloved dollies, he sets out for blood. (see links for additional information)

Heidi is collaborating with San Francisco based artist and filmmaker Cassandra Sechler who runs Dreams For Dead Cats Productions, a DIY collaborative focusing on low budget films with high production value and concepts.

The 3rd Annual Shortz! Film Fest is coming August 10 & 11, 2013, at the El Rey Theater, 230 W. 2nd St., in downtown Chico, CA. It's not too late to make a short film for an entry. Late submission is until June 30, for $20.
