CiAO Film Project Production Meeting

Production Meeting is Monday, September 13 at 7:00 pm

This notification is mostly directed at the Production Team and the Creative Team and actors. (or pretty much anyone who is interested and wants to attend and contribute) We will try to keep the meeting to under two (2) hours. Please be prompt. (sorry for the late notification) PLEASE CHECK the props Wish List below!

We have a "final draft" of the script. (we might tweak it some more) The following link will point to the most current version of the script. You are encouraged to download it and print the script and bring it to the meeting if you think that will help in your capacity on the film. The current working title for the film is The Chosen. (send us your ideas for consideration)

Wish List of Props, Services, and Other Items

We need the following items (at least, known at this point – this list may change) as props and other items for the film:

• a table that looks like it would fit in a police station interrogation room, about two or three feet in depth and about three or four feet long, standard height
• a chair that looks like it would fit in a police station interrogation room, for the perp
• several large-ish, bright-ish flashlights, and/or people to use them in the film (read the script)
• a real, working hand taser (for its snap, crackle and pop)
• a detective or police badge, a flashing red light, crime scene tape, and a Crown Royal-like detective's car (Paul H.?)
• a medium or large black cast iron cooking skillet (we think we have one)
• a fake hand, arm, or leg that looks somewhat realistic (Joshua Siegel is offering)
• a cow bell, in case we need more cow bell (you always need more cowbell)

If you have access to any of these items and can lend them to us for this production, please send us an e-mail at:

Support Local Independent Film, Filmmakers, and Filmmaking

We are looking into offering a financial interest in the film at $10 per point (percent). ROI is based on the monthly Net Gross income excluding all federal, state, county, and local (and other) taxes and Shipping and Handling fees. Short films rarely make money, but you never know. Most people would probably look at it as a type of donation, and personal support of (local) Indie Filmmaking as a "Patron of the Arts".

There are also "bragging rights", as well as a top credit in the film as an Executive Producer, or Co-Executive Producer, as a stand-alone credit, or a shared credit, depending on the amount invested. Contact us if you are interested. Minimum amount is $25 (shared Co-Executive Producer credit), up to $100+ (Executive Producer credit). There are a limited number of slots available.

This will help us pay for the items that always end up being needed, even for a nano-budget / "zero-budget" film. Ideally, we would like to at-the-very-least offer some snacks for the cast and crew during the production for their hours of hard volunteer work. (and anyone who knows and has been on an indie film set knows how much hard work it really is) A "self-catered" lunch would be a blessing. (at this point we are only able to offer bottled water, and maybe some chips — and "production value" might have to be trimmed here and there)
