3rd Annual Shortz! Film Festival

This Saturday and Sunday, August 10 & 11, 2013

The 3rd Annual Shortz! Film Festival is this upcoming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 10 (1:00 pm) & 11 (2:30 pm), 2013. It is held at the El Rey Theater, 230 W. 2nd Street, in beautiful downtown Chico, CA. Tickets are only $10 each day.

Attend the fest and support The Arts and Independent Filmmaking in Chico, the greater Chico / NorCal area, and indie filmmaking in general.

There will be 24 short indie films at this year's festival. See the complete schedule on their website. Below is a summary schedule:

Saturday August 10th
 
   • 1:00 – 2:00 — Block 1   (8 films)
   • 2:20 – 3:50 — Block 2   (7 films)
   • 4:30 – 6:00 — Filmmaker Dinner at Grana
   • 6:00 – 7:00 — Block 3   (5 films)
   • 7:15 – 8:15 — Block 4   (4 films)
   • 8:30 – ?      — After Party at Grana

Sunday August 11th
 
   • 2:30 – 3:30 — Block 1   (Special Selections)
   • 3:30 – 5:30 — Block 2   (Film Surprise)
   • 5:30 – 6:30 — Award Ceremony
   • 6:30 – ?      — After Party at Grana

The Consortium is a varied group of people interested in independent film and other related areas. Including all areas of indie film production, film in general, other productions of various kinds, multimedia, watching and appreciation. There tends to be an emphasis on indie films and filmmaking, particularly nano-budget, micro-budget, and small-budget filmmaking. All are welcome to join us, whether you are a writer, director, producer, actor, crew person, cinephile, or any other interested party. (suggested age range: mature teen through adult)
