So much so, that it is being extended to next weekend! Note: Only 20 to 30 "CiAO people" attended the festival, out of the well over 100 who are on our e-mailing list and are facebook friends. We hope to see the rest of you this upcoming weekend. See below for more info. NOTICE: Due to the extension of the 2011 Show Us Your Shorts! Film Festival to this weekend, there will be no mid-month CiAO meeting this month. The next monthly meeting will be Friday, September 2. Hope to see you there.
First, a reminder of who and what we are:
We want to thank all of the filmmakers who came out to represent their films and join us in our celebration of short film. We also want to thank all of our incredible staff for helping to make the event run as smoothly as it did. And thank you to each of our coordinators, who worked hard to put on this festival in the short time frame chosen. (~ 6 months) And most of all, we want to thank YOU, for coming to watch and support all of the screening films.

But, wait, there's more... Fantastic Festival and Fantastic New Development! The Film Fest has been held over! We will be presenting a "Best O' The Fest" screening this Friday and Saturday night! If you missed any of the festival last weekend, this will be your last chance to see some of the best short films we presented at last week's fest.

The Consortium is a varied group of people interested in independent film and other related areas. Including all areas of indie film production, film in general, other productions of various kinds, multimedia, watching and appreciation. There tends to be an emphasis on indie films and filmmaking, particularly nano-budget, micro-budget, and small-budget filmmaking. All are welcome to join us, whether you are a writer, director, producer, actor, crew person, cinephile, or any other interested party. Averaging about 75 to 100 attendees each day, the 3-day festival was an amazing success!
We had full houses every night and over half of the screening films' filmmakers
were there to answer questions regarding their respective work.
Dozens of new filmmaker connections were made and we wouldn't be surprised
if we see some films at next year's event that included collaborative projects
from some of them.
